Who is handling your food
All meat is packed and processed in facilities that are part of either AQIS’s Meat Safety Quality Assurance Program or AUS-MEAT’s internationally recognised Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001: 2000 and Safe Food Queensland.
We are HACCP Certified
We are a certified HACCP Food Safety facility for the receival, storage, despatch & distribution of fresh produce. We continue to supply nursing homes and hospitals with fresh produce under the current regime.
We have quarantined our facility
Under the current COVID-19 status we have quarantined our facility to strictly staff only inside our premises. We are continually improving our systems and processes to minimise the risk to our customers.
Key Fact - There is no evidence that
COVID-19 is transmitted through food.
Food Standards Australia have stated that transmission through food is unlikely and so far there is no evidence that people have become infected by swallowing the virus in or on food or drink. However it is important for food businesses to be extra vigilant with all aspects of health and hygiene, to ensure no-one contaminates the surfaces in retail food display, service or processing environments.
With the volume of people flowing through supermarkets and touching trolleys, surfaces and checkout areas, if you are sourcing your food from these retailers you are significnatly increasing your risk.
